( Peroxide Stabilizer )

ENCEE POBS is a specialty non-silicate stabilizer for Hydrogen Peroxide bleaching liquors to regulate the rate of release of oxygen for optimal whites on cellulose material and for savings in the consumption of peroxide.

Type : Anionic
Appearance : Pale Yellow Liquid
Solubility : Soluble in water in all proportions
Compatibility : Stable to hard water and alkali, compatible with anionic and nonionic auxiliaries

  • Controls the decay rate of Hydrogen Peroxide in bleaching baths for optimum bleaching without the use of conventional Sodium Silicate

  • Avoids risk of damage / pin-holes due to iron impurities

  • Enables a softer feel on fabric as silicates are absent

  • Eliminates problems of scale build up in bleaching machinery

  • May be used along with Sodium Silicate wherever Silicate is found essential, as in the case of heavily seed - contaminated cottons where Silicate - caustic soda action is advantageous.

TYPICAL RECIPIES :
Bleaching of cottons in kier - 1000 kg's of woven cloth or hosiery is first desized if required and / or chemicked and then piled wet into the kier. The peroxide bleach liquor is prepared at 45 - 50°C at pH 10 - 11 with
Hydrogen Peroxide 50% 0.5 - 1.5 5 - 10 kg
ENCEE POBS 0.2 - 0.3% 2 - 5 kg
Caustic soda solid 0.2 - 0.3% 2 - 3 kg
Soda Ash 0.1 - 0.2 % 1 - 2 kg
Enceepol-D Paste 0.05% 500 gms
in 2000 - 2500 litres water so that total liquor (along with water carried over by the wet cloth) is 4000 liters. Bleaching is carried out for 5 -6 hours at 90 - 95°C. Bleaching time can be reduced in case of pressure kiers where liquor temperature 0f 105 - 110°C are employed. After the treatment, the cloth is washed well and neutralized.

Bleaching of cotton cloth or hosiery in which the bleaching bath is set at 50°C and liquor ratio 10:1 to 20:1 with
Hydrogen Peroxide 50% 2.0 - 3.0 g/l
Enceepol-D-Paste 1.5 - 2.0 g/l
Caustic soda solid 1.0 - 2.0 g/l
Enceepol-D Paste 0.5 - 1.0 g/l
The pH is adjusted 1o 10 - 11, temperature raised to 90 - 95°C over half an hour and maintained there for 1 hour, followed by rinsing and neutralization.
